Adjunct Faculty
OUTREACH SPECIALIST
A highly skilled, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to serve as Outreach Specialist. Under the general supervision of the Northland Manager, Outreach and Recruiting, the Outreach Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily outreach activities and establishing relationships with organizations, families, and school systems to assist with meeting the expected outcome to train over 350 adult students in the Advanced Manufacturing & Energy sectors on an annual basis. Is responsible for the recruiting, referring, and assisting potential students annually with assessments, wraparound services, career planning, and enrollment activities.
Placement Specialist
A highly skilled, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to be a Placement Specialist. The Placement Specialist is responsible for assisting Program trainees and graduates with internship, job, school and various other placement services. The Specialist also provides employer outreach management of existing and new employers; coordinates events for specialized student populations or industries; manages new employers with database orientation and recruitment practices at the Center; provides information to support the Northland profession demand forecasts; provides employer training leads; and organizes and participates in Career Expos and Student – Industry Groups.
CAREER COACH
A highly skilled, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to serve as Career Coaches for Wraparound Services. Under the general supervision of the Wraparound Services Manager, the Career Coaches are responsible for assessing specific client needs, and implementing program plans that support individuals in the development of short and long term activities and outcomes in order to reach specified life skills outcomes, and to attain/maintain employment.
Adjunct Faculty
A highly skilled educator to teach department courses on a part-time basis and evaluate students’ performance pursuant to guidelines set by the department and the College. Adjunct faculty are responsible for preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials or activities for class. Adjunct faculty must maintain accurate records on students and submit pertinent data to the department and or the College.
